About Me
Hello, my name is Diana!I am a Registered Psychyotherapist (Qualifying). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.Therapy has been my passion since I was thirteen! As a first-generation African Canadian who grew up in a Nigerian household, I understand the complexity of navigating cultural identity, family expectations, autonomy, and the stigma surrounding mental health. I also recognize how overwhelming and isolating experiences like trauma and anxiety can feel when you’re carrying them on your own.I became a therapist to be able to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space where others can feel heard, respected, and supported, and finally exhale.In terms of my interests, I love to work out, play sports, dance, party and have a good laugh!!!If you’re ready to explore your inner world with support, I’m here to help!
Therapeutic Approach
Grow and Glow Therapy specializes in supporting Black women of the diaspora to heal and grow through the power of self-awareness and compassion.Therapy with me is about understanding yourself more deeply so you can move through life with clarity, confidence and control. When we begin to understand the origins of our thoughts, emotions, and patterns, we gain the ability to challenge them, shift them, and move beyond the feeling of “I don’t know why.”Using a client-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based lens, I work alongside you to explore your identity, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life!
